Connectors qualified to Rolls Royce specification ESC 004 (Mil-C-5015 Class K)

Introduction

This specification covers the general performance requirements and product definition for connectore assemblies generally to MIL-C-5015 class K and for hermetically sealed connectors generally to MIL-C-5015 class H, for use on various Rolls-Royce plc aerospace and industrial and marine applications.

Performance

The connectors shall be firewall (ie provide a flame barrier for a minimum of 15 minutes) fire resistant (ie. operate electrically for a minimum of 5 minutes), environmentally or hermatically sealed, resistant to fluid contamination and suitable for operation over the temperature range -55°C + - 5°C to 260°C + - 5°C cyclic (including self heating from operating current)
